This elegant ceramic bottle of extra virgin olive oil by 1490 is inspired by the color in the skies of in the Cordoba countryside, where rolling hills are covered with Hojiblanca olive trees. This bottle holds premium Hojiblanca oil, cold pressed at the peak of freshness. It is a fruity green oil, sweet and complex with flavors of apple, hay and tomato. What a great gift for the olive oil lover, or for yourself.

But there's more! This oil comes from the Fuente de la Rosa estate. Legend has it that this very Finca was the source of olive oil that sailed in the Niña, Pinta and Santa María in 1492! In fact, the family recently found a 500-year-old document in their archives from the year they bought the estate - 1490.

Another document shows that olive oil was sourced from the very same estate for the first voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1492. Since olive trees live so long, there is a chance your bottle will contain oil from an olive tree that nourished the sailors on that historic voyage.

This extra virgin olive oil has become a legend of its own, winning Platinum (Highest Distinction) at the London International Olive Oil Competition in 2022 and Gold (Highest Distinction) Award at the Paris AVPA olive oil competition in 2024.
